Spin on Reality

One of my favorite parts of writing is being able to put my own spin on reality. Taking something that is not of the real world and making it come to life. Creating a reality different to this world and where readers want to live. Be a part of the story as it unfolds.
To do this I can make it up totally in my thoughts and build it or take pieces of history, folklore and other interesting tidbits and molding it into what I want to. Doing this is a powerful aphrodisiac. The balance of creating a story that brings a person into it is just like a seductive dance. First you have to let them get a feel of your rhythm. Once they do then you move to the groove. Spinning it around. Weaving that reality to bring them deeper into the reality you’ve built. This is what I strive for in each world I build.
In the world and myths of my latest release Firestorm Encounters (Phoenix Intelligence Agency, Book #5) this is what I’ve done—put my own spin on reality. I’ve taken many parts of history, folklore and other interesting tidbits to create the world of the story. In writing the book I sank into the myths that I was creating. It was fun to bring in various things I find fascinating. Kaitya Erutan, my heroine is an Amazonian Warrior and Firebird which are two powerful races. Kaitya is a recently made hybrid and she is coming to terms with that when fate puts a man who will change her life in her path. The mythology of her and the world she inhabits grows with each book. This mythology is embedded into the very earth. Fyodor, the Shadow King has many obligations and things to overcome. The two come together as a couple and each has their own quirks and personality which leads them on a road to love. It is an exhilarating ride for them. As usual I put a major spin within the story which makes the series keep evolving and growing. When I built the world of the Phoenix Intelligence Agency I knew it would have so much to be revealed brick by brick and layer by layer. There are so many beings and things in that world to explore. As I write each book I’m having a wonderful time laying down the layers of the world and going on each adventure.
Each time I write a new book I wonder where I can go next. I get to push boundaries of belief and bring the reader into the journey of the story. I love doing that and making up worlds that become real. A world which readers want to become a part of. That is the thing with writing, you get to do a spin on reality.

Her beauty is surpassed only by the depths of her soul. Kaitya is out to have everything he can give and demand that he go even further.
Each action and choice will change the course of their lives. They will need each other to face whatever comes. When will meets passion it will blaze under firestorm encounters.
