2013 Anniversary WC Question 12

Desiree Holt  Almost too hysterical to describe. I was a freshman in high school and wearing braces. I had such a crush on this really cute guy and we were invited to a party at my friend’s. I lived in a small town so everyone walked everywhere. He walked me to the party, walked me home, and kissed me. Only he was wearing braces, too, our braces got locked and I had to ring the doorbell for my parents to come down and unhook us.

Heidi Lynn Anderson  It’s really not all the good. I was eleven truth or dare was involved. My lip got caught on his braces and there was a lot of drool. His drool not mine. Just saying.

Erin M. Leaf  My first kiss ever? Um, yuck. Chocolate, pretzels, and the street corner outside the restaurant where my mother worked does not equal a fun first kiss. My first kiss with the love of my life? Candies and some serious romance. My husband was/is awesome.

Wendi Zwaduk  I honestly don’t remember it. Apparently it wasn’t that thrilling because yeah, I have no idea…. Sad.

Sandra Bunino It was at a Middle School dance and his name was Ralph or Martin. I can’t remember. No, it wasn’t memorable, but hey, I was thirteen. Thank goodness kisses only got better after that one.

Megan Slayer  I was at a church with the guy who was my boyfriend. I was in the eighth grade. He held my hand and kissed me. I was really awkward about it since I hadn’t kissed before. He used tongue, which threw me for a loop. It was fun and yes, we kissed again.

Renea Mason  I was twelve. He was fifteen. Behind my dad’s garage. That’s as juicy as it gets. But have different story about sixteen year old me, a twenty-two year old, an Iroc-Z and Whitesnake playing in the background but you didn’t ask about that story.

Jessica Jayne  I was in the sixth grade and “going out” with a guy named Mark. For my birthday, I was having a sleepover with a bunch of girls and he and his friends snuck over and knocked on the sliding glass door of our family room. I opened the door and put his hands on my cheeks and kissed me. Then he said “happy birthday” and took off with his friends. I always thought it was kind of romantic for a sixth grade boy.

Jessica E. Subject  The boy I had a crush on walked me home, and we arrived at a point where he had to turn back. He asked me out, and then we shared our first kiss. I learned about French kissing that day, too.

Adriana Kraft  That it was pretty much a dud! I was not quite sixteen and at a party, talking with a guy in my class who was a platonic friend (I didn’t have any other kind at that time, late bloomer). Somehow the conversation turned to my upcoming sixteenth birthday and I joked I was going to be sixteen and “never been kissed.” So he pulled me close and kissed me. I don’t remember much about it, but I’m quite sure our mouths didn’t even open. I wonder what he’d say if he knew me now…

Valerie Twombly  Ack! I was in the fifth grade and his name was Mark. We went to our first dance and he gave me a tight lipped, quick peck on the lips. I think we were both so nervous and neither of us had any idea what we were doing. I think back about it now and laugh. It was like kissing a rock, lol.

Avril Ashton  My tongue and jaw hurt like hell the next morning.

Maxine Mansfield  I was fourteen, and this guy I had a huge crush on took me to a school dance and on the way home we took a short cut through the woods. We stopped in the middle of the path for a few minutes just to talk and he asked me if he could kiss me. It was very romantic, and a perfect first kiss. The second, third, and hundredth weren’t too shabby either.

Julia Talbot  I was nine. Not much story to it except ew!

BA Tortuga  I was at my 16th birthday party at the honkytonk my folks owned and a boy named Rusty danced with me and kissed me. It was totally unexpected and WAY less gross than I’d imagined.

Anya Richards  LOL! I didn’t know the guy was really trying to kiss me…just thought, “Hey, he’s getting really close.” Then he was RIGHT. THERE. and it suddenly struck me he wanted to kiss me. OMG… then he did, and I liked it, so I kissed him back.

Dee Brice  My first kiss ever or my first kiss with my husband/ lover? Ever–I don’t remember. Husband–I can’t remember that either, just that it was more arousing than any other kiss.

Diana Hunter  Junior year in high school. One of the monthly dances the school held. Slow dance in the arms of the boy of my dreams. Dance ended. Gentle kiss.

Heaven. <sigh>

Lynne Connolly  messy, amateur, because it was his first kiss too, and neither of us knew what we were doing. We were ten years old, and imitating what we saw in the movies.

Charlotte Boyett-Compo  It was sloppy and embarrassing considering I was eleven years old and it came from a cousin. That was the first kiss. The first REAL kiss came from my boyfriend when we were fifteen. He was in military school in Alabama and was home for the weekend. Up until then we had kissed but not with….<SIGH>…tongue. He surprised me so much all I could do was stand there and stare at him, my eyes wide. He had his closed and was really getting into the dueling tongue thingie but all I could think about was: Ewwwww.

Shoshanna Evers  I was thirteen years old, and hanging out with a boy in the woods a few blocks from my house. We smoked stolen cigarettes (from my mom’s purse) and some pot (naughty!), and suddenly we were kissing.

Even without any experience, I could tell the boy didn’t know what he was doing with his tongue. LOL If I were to sum it up, I’d call the experience… slobbery.

Cameron D. James  It was suuuuper awkward. It was as part of a rehearsal for a play in high school — a girl and I were acting out a scene from Good Will Hunting, where the two main characters have their first kiss. Neither one of us had kissed before, so the teacher had to talk us through it.

Christie Butler  I was in high school- yes a late bloomer. I was on a first date with a guy who was a year older than me. He walked me to my door and kissed me. I hated it! Turns out he wasn’t the guy for me. I went right inside and rinsed out my mouth!

Sabrina York  It was so romantic. We were on the French Riviera eating pizza and drinking beer. I guess he had a little too much, because as we left the pizzeria, he grabbed me and kissed me.

And then he threw up.

And then he didn’t remember in the morning.

Did I mention there was beer?

Rory Ni Coileain  A boy who had a crush on me in high school took me to see “Star Wars”. My first real date. And when he dropped me off at home afterward, I figured that you were supposed to kiss on a real date, right? So I kissed him, since he apparently hadn’t gotten that memo. It was slightly less passionate than Leia and Luke. 😀

Lucy Felthouse  Haha, really?! Okay, it was when I was about 11, I think. It wasn’t horrendous, but it wasn’t great, either. It was in an alleyway near my house with my then boyfriend. That’s pretty much it!

Eden Bradley  My first kiss, as many are, was a bit awkward. I was about four years old, and I was playing Wizard of Oz with my neighbor, Dane, in his back yard. I was Dorothy, of course, and he was the Scarecrow. He leaned over and kissed me on the mouth. I yelled, “What did you have to do that for?” and stormed home.

He tried it again when we were eleven and I was about to move away. it went much better that time. : )

Cassandra Carr  Oh my God, it was not good! First of all, I realize now I was way too young. Heck, I think I knew that when it happened, which was one of the reasons it was so not good/awkward. The guy came at me kind of out of nowhere – we were taking a walk and I didn’t know him that well. I knew the other guy we were with – he lived across the street from me, and this guy was his best friend. So we stop and he leans down and I leaned back, like “Dude, what’s up with this?” He caught me before I fell over backward and kissed me. When he put his tongue in my mouth I thought it was gross. I was thirteen.

Eliza Lloyd  Bad question. I don’t have a good first story. I think I chased a boy in second grade and made him kiss me. Naturally, we were both disappointed and went on to find greater loves.

R.G. Alexander  I think I was four and it was unexpected. I socked that poor kid in the jaw. I feel bad about it now, but really, he should have asked first lol

Lainey Reese  Wyman Sears. You heart breaker. I was thirteen. I had just moved to town and it was my birthday. My parents dropped me off at the local theater, oblivious that this was the teen hang out. I was also oblivious. If I had known, I would have taken off the silly button on my shirt that read “kiss me you fool, it’s my birthday”

As I was heading in to get my ticket a group of break dancers caught my eye. I wandered over to watch for a bit and a gorgeous older boy whom I had never seen before walked right up to me and said hi. Then he slouched a little, read my button, said, “Hmm, ok” and freaking kissed me! Full on french kiss and then he smiled said, “See ya.” and walked away. I was never the same.

Katalina Leon  I would have to title my first kiss as Fear and loathing in our garage! I was putting my bike away after school and a neighbor boy slipped into the garage with me. I was only twelve and way too young and terrified to be kissing the boy I first kissed who up to that moment had been my mortal enemy at school. Billy aka “Bully” suddenly stopped bullying me and pronounced his love with a big, wet awkward kiss and I was appalled. (PS Billy grew up to be a policeman and totally great guy.

Donna Gallagher  I was sitting on a kitchen bench top – his, he stood between my legs and cradled my head in his hands. When his lips touched mine it was electric, breathtaking and then my children walked into the room and we stopped. This was the first time I kissed my second husband and the sparks really did fly which was a surprise as I was not all that fond of men at the time thanks to a cheating first husband and subsequent divorce.

Victoria Blisse  I was 19 and on a weekend for leaders of a Christian youth group association I was part of. I met a guy, he was tall, dark-haired and had beautiful eyes and we were instantly attracted to each other. We spent all day and then much of the night together. We went for a walk in the garden about midnight and he kissed me against a tree. I did think ‘oh, is that all?’ at first, but on the second kiss, I got the attraction!

Jennifer Leeland  Do I have to answer this? LOL! Okay. I was thirteen and completely innocent. I didn’t know ANYTHING about French kissing. And this boy who had asked me to go steady to make the girl he liked mad (he was quite up front about this) took me behind the quonset huts at our school to “make out”. You guessed it. He stuck his tongue IN MY MOUTH! I was surprised! Freaked out! and backed away immediately. Not the best idea. LOL! It got a lot better after that.

Kate Deveaux  Sorry, don’t remember it but I’m sure it was good as I love to kiss!

Ayla Ruse  Kindergarten. Seriously. But that was really my first peck, not kiss. Hmm…my first kiss (I’m chuckling, putting the pieces together as I remember) was pretty amazing. I was at a church lock-in and the younger brother of the guy I had a crush on (wouldn’t you know it), took an interest in me. We talked a lot, danced a lot, and that magical moment happened during an Air Supply slow song. *sigh* I don’t think we did anything else that night but kiss. All night long. Amazing what the nuns turned a blind eye to. Ahh, the memories.

Sarah Castille  High school. Science field trip. Forest. Cutest guy ever. Both reached for a flower at the same time. He got the flower. I got a kiss. Then I got the flower.

Anna Alexander  I was in summer stock as a kid and it was at the cast party. We had been flirting all day and then in the dark he kissed me in front of our friends, and my sister. She didn’t enjoy it as much as I did. He was really good for being 14. Then we went our separate ways and I never saw him again. Wow, that was a long time ago.

Cathryn Cade  I don’t remember. Isn’t that sad?

I remember my first kiss with my husband, though, and that’s what is important. It was near zero degrees on a cold Montana night. Our noses were cold, but our lips were warm. And he asked if I wanted to go out again the next night … I said yes.

Luna Zega  I was fifteen. He was twenty-two and a counselor at the church camp I attended. I had no idea what was going on. No clue he found me attractive. No idea how I was supposed to kiss back. A few months later, I remember asking a girl in high school advice on kissing because if it ever happened again I wanted to be ready.

Kate Hill  The story of my first kiss isn’t a romantic one. The best thing about it was it helped me to figure out what I didn’t want in a partner. I’m sure he felt the same way. I can’t say it was a bad thing though. Everything is a learning experience.

Heather Long  I’ve never kissed and told, not even when I was six.

Jean Hart Stewart  A boy I’d admired in high school for sometime finally asked me out. I was over the moon. We had a great evening, He kissed me goodbye, I damn near melted. I never dated him again as he graduated shortly afterward. Quite evidently it didn’t thrill him as it did me. He did nothing but nod to me after that one date. He temporarily broke my heart, the bastard.

Desirée Lee   The first kiss I remember was out in the driveway in front of my house. It was rather sloppy and wet. It grossed me out at the time. Thankfully, I’ve met better kissers since then.

Nina Pierce  My very first kiss happened in 6th grade, behind this little stand of trees on the playground. We chewed licorice “Lady and the Tramp” style until our lips met. Of course it was short lived when we got caught and sent to the principal’s office.

Bobbi Brattz  Gosh, that was so long ago. Any kisses I’d ever had before I met my true love pale in comparison. When he and I first kissed, my toes curled. I leaned in to him as his back was pressed to the wall in my hallway. When our lips touched, it was like I’d just taken my first breath. Warm and soft, his gentle mouth mastered mine, taking all control away from me. Yummy!

Kay Dee Royal  Oh my, does this take me back…to the 7th grade. All the lights were out in the village and I was walking my boyfriend half-way home. Yes, the moonlight filtered through the trees enough for me to not trip on the uneven sidewalk.

When we came to our parting point, he drew me into his arms and kissed…my cheek. Wet and slobbery kiss…he trembled, so I know he was nervous…and honestly, it took my breath away (just like in the movies) and butterflies played tag in my belly.

It was my first kiss and the only one from him. He moved away a few months later.

Tonya Renee Callihan  I was a teenager and it was with a boy I had known for a long time. Neither of us had ever been kissed and we decided to kiss each other, so we would be each other’s first kiss.

Gale Stanley  I must have been 11 or 12 and I was at a party. We were playing Spin the Bottle and the lucky couples had to go into a dark closet for the kiss. My turn, I ended up with the class bad boy. He actually was a good kisser. It was kinda nice…

Naomi Bellina  My first kiss tasted like Marlboros and sweat and we knocked teeth. I think it was his first too. It was a neighborhood kid, older than me, and how in the world we got up the nerve to kiss I’ll never know. I can still smell the cigarette smoke and night air and I get tingles thinking about it. Not because it was so hot and sexy, but because it was so furtive. I loved being sneaky and still do.

Kemberlee Shortland  Ah! Now, that would be telling. A girl has to have some secrets.

Hurri Cosmo  I was on a date with my long time crush and sitting in the back of a movie hall in the dark. He leaned over and put his tongue in my mouth. I was totally unprepared for that. I was an incredible innocent at the time and did not know people did that kind of thing. I have to admit it really “turned me on” but I truly didn’t even understand that at the time. I went days after that nearly swooning each time I remembered that kiss. I never did go out with him again due to other things but I have never forgotten that kiss.

Lyncee Shillard  I was three. The neighbor boy was three. We were sitting at another neighbor’s piano. She was watching us. And while we were banging out something I’m sure was truly awful, I leaned over and kissed him. My neighbor just happened to have her camera and caught the moment … To this day I think I did it just to get him to let me play the piano by myself.

Trina Lane  LOL. I was 15 and at a high school dance. My mom had made my dress-don’t grimace it was actually a pretty velvet number-but I had this HORRIBLE fake orange tan. We were dancing to Sting’s “Fields of Gold” when my date lent in for a kiss. It was awkward and I’m sure I was a horrible kisser, but still a fun memory.
