Nothing says summer like sangria and some erotic suspense!

I have a lot of favorite things about summer—barbecues, lounging in a deck chair with a new erotic suspense book, and testing out sangria recipes!

In my new book, Fierce Temper, things are really heating up. Not only does Tessa have to fake a new identity to hide from a killer, but she can’t keep her feelings in check for Milo and Archer. Even though this trio is trying to stop a drug cartel and navigate their feelings for each other, Tessa still manages to have a little down time with her friends. And what do they do in their down time? Drink wine, of course!

And what’s better than good wine? Great sangria!! I had peach sangria at a restaurant a few years back, and I loved it so much that I made it my mission to duplicate it. Not only did I succeed, but I think my recipe is WAY better! Even though I tout this as a summer drink, I can honestly drink this anytime of year (in buckets), but it’s even better in the dog days of summer.

This peachy sangria is delish!! Just be careful because it goes down very smooth. It doesn’t taste like it has as much alcohol in it at all. I found this out the hard way… which is to say I drank half a pitcher, and then tried to get up and walk across the room.

1 750-ml bottle Pinot Grigio
1 ½ cups Peachtree Schnapps
1 ½ cups of your favorite fruit juice (I love the white grape peach. Mango peach is also a really good one.)
3 cups Sprite (2 cans)
1/3 cup Triple Sec (if desired)
1 bag frozen peaches

Stir all ingredients together in a big pitcher and serve. If you are having more than a couple of friends over, you will definitely want to double this. If I’m having a get-together, I usually triple it, and it goes fast! I would also suggest buying two or three bags of frozen peaches. They work as ice cubes to help keep your sangria cold.

So grab a glass and a copy of my new book, Fierce Temper. The ménage erotic suspense story of Tessa, Milo, and Archer is the perfect read for the beach, the lake, the back yard, or your favorite deck chair.

Above all else, enjoy your summer!!

Fierce-Temper-evernightpublishing-2016-smallpreviewTessa Lawson has a secret… actually, she has a few. Not only did she used to be known as adult film star Temper Jazz, but she is also on the run after witnessing a murder and stealing $250K from a drug lord. She moved to Magic to hide, but will she be able to hide her heart?

Milo Livingston has his own demons. His guilt over a horrible accident that injured a friend has left him thinking he doesn’t deserve happiness. He surely doesn’t think that Tessa could ever love him.

When Milo’s friend, DEA Agent Archer Collins comes to town searching for Tessa, the trio’s world is thrown into upheaval. Archer is intent on bringing down the drug cartel responsible for his sister’s death. He never expected to fall in love with the key witness he’s been searching for.

After an attempt is made on Tessa’s life, Milo and Archer join forces to protect the woman they care about. Will both men be able to overcome their own demons and trust Tessa with their hearts? And will their love be enough to protect her from the dangerous people who want her dead?

About the Author:I’m a Midwestern girl and a lover of coffee, live music, and horror movies, not necessarily in that order.

I’ve been writing all my life, and I honestly can’t remember a time when I wanted to do anything but write. After many years spent suffering the trials of corporate America and writing about everything from financial risk management to software user manuals to website copy about radiators (sadly, I’m not kidding), I decided take the plunge and start writing books.

I love a good love story with super hot alpha males, strong heroines, a little humor, and a lot of suspense. Sprinkle in some sexual fantasies and a few BDSM aspects, and Boom! These are only a few of the themes you’ll find in my books.

When I’m not writing, I’m probably at Starbucks, or fighting evil with the help of my husband, two children, and our houseful of animals.

  2. That recipe sounds delicious. Are there any fruit juices you’ve tried that don’t work so well with it?

    • Hi Astilbe! So far, the juices I’ve tried have been apple juice, a peach mango juice, and a white grape peach (my fave). Out of those, I probably wouldn’t do the plain apple again. It wasn’t bad; it just lacked the kick. 🙂 Let me know how it turns out for you! Enjoy!

  3. What do you find to be the hardest part of writing?

    • Hi Peggy! That is a great question! For me, the hardest part of writing erotic romance is finding a good chunk of time where I can get myself in the mindset and let the story flow. This is especially hard during the summer when the kids are out of school. It’s very difficult to write this genre when you have munchkins running around. 🙂 As far as the writing itself, it’s a challenge to make sure I connect everyone’s story in the series. I have outlines for the next three books in the series, so I put little snippets in Fierce Temper that will come up again down the line. Making sure to to accurately build up the other characters while not breaking the flow of the main story is definitely a challenge! 🙂
