After a crisis situation reveals a different side of them both, the attraction becomes mutual, explosive and undeniable. They take the plunge, willing to see if the give-and-take of their unexpected relationship can satisfy their deepest desires. Unfortunately, ghosts from their past might take the reins from them both, destroying the balance of power before their love can find a way to tip the scales.

This story took me on a roller coaster ride of emotion. Just when I thought I had the characters all figured out the author threw another twist into the story. From love to hate and those emotions in between, they are all in this book. I adored Janet and Max. They make a great couple and their banter made for a great read. I was not only treated to watching their relationship take form but I also watched Max deal with his past. I enjoyed meeting many of the Navy Seals that are his friends as well as seeing all of the past characters from the previous books. Seeing them all band together as the family that they truly are made for a wonderful read. Joey W. Hill knows how to weave a beautiful story and pull the reader into that world. Once I started this book I was so enraptured with it and hated to put it down for any reason and I hope that we get to visit this world again.
