Adrian Hughes is a geek who sucks at social interaction because awkward is his middle name. Even though he’s gay, he’s the opposite of flamboyant (when they were handing out fabulous, he was hiding in another room). Even so, he’s always wanted a boyfriend—who doesn’t want to find love?—but so far, the closest he’s gotten to it is crushing on the hot older guy he only sees on the elevator. So what happens when he’s trapped inside it with Mr. Zillionaire Hottie during a heat wave brownout? He stutters like an idiot, because Mr. Greyson Lee is unexpectedly cool, calm, and collected … right up until he’s not.

When kissing leads to sex, Adrian can’t say no. But is it just a hookup? Or is it the start of something more?

Adrian had finally finished a horrible Friday and was heading home, albeit absurdly late. In the elevator going down, Adrian shared his first proper conversation with Greyson Lee – a total hottie whom Adrian had seen around and been fantasizing about for ages. When the elevator stops due to a brownout Adrian discovers far more about Greyson than he could ever have imagined.

Clichéd as the premise is, I thoroughly enjoyed this short story. Greyson and Adrian were interesting characters to my mind and even though they have a hot sex scene virtually simultaneously to their first real conversation the circumstances and writing made it credible and believable to me. While there isn’t really much of a plot – the first half of the story is taken up by the “stuck in an elevator having sex” scene – there is a bit of external conflict towards the end of the story. I personally found the conflict a little over the top, but it was believable – not too outrageous – and I understand the purpose it added to the story.

Readers looking for a sexy, short and easy-to-read story should find this a fun and hot read. And while the storylines are fairly well-trod, the characters of Greyson and Adrian were fresh and interesting enough that they kept my attention throughout the whole story. A delicious happy ending and some seriously steamy sex this is a great, quick read that should appeal to a wide range of readers.
