Friendly, adventurous, sexually submissive…and a complete stranger. She’s exactly the anonymous, no-consequences diversion fetish-club owner Sam needs to kick off a few days in Las Vegas. He doesn’t hesitate to take her up against the door of the in-flight bathroom.

Powerful, dominant Sam could have walked straight out of one of Melanie’s dog-eared BDSM novels. When he strikes up a conversation with her on a late-evening flight, fictional fantasies become knee-weakening, panty-soaking, feminine-core-clenching reality. And oh-em-gee, does she want another taste of that!

When Sam informs her that his plans don’t include a long-term D/s relationship with an impulsive young blonde for whom submission is more than likely a passing whim, Melanie throws herself into convincing him she is exactly the submissive lover he wants, needs and can’t live without.

Knowing what thoughts are in someone’s head is not always easy, knowing what’s in their heart is damn near impossible.

Sitting on a plane reading ‘that book’ Melanie gets herself into a bit of a pickle and sexual awareness and a state of acute arousal sends her into the toilet with the big, bad stranger sitting next to her! Joining the mile-high-club is wild and unleashes a whole load of submissive desires in her fuelled from a few sexy words and the way she’s pinned to the wall. Phew, what a way to start a trip to see your brother and his fiancé. Problem is, sex with a stranger is supposed to be exactly that, sex with a stranger – NOT your brother’s best friend!

Tangled and Bound is a good book…no, make that a really good book. Why? Because it’s unique, very well written, the characters are real and flawed and made me absolutely root for them to find happiness and satisfaction and it captured me enough to read it in one sitting –yes I ignored the chores and I don’t care.

Melanie was fun, feisty but also hot-headed, making decisions quickly and a little too spontaneously. I liked her and certainly enjoyed her journey. Although not all the choices she made would match mine, I enjoyed that the author showed me her thought process so I could relate to her chosen path.

Sam… Mmm, what’s not to love about Sam? He’s big and bad and one hell of a Dom. I adored the dialogue between the two of them, particularly Sam’s. It really showed his maleness and the way he was fighting his emotions. I also enjoyed his inner monologue which showed the reader a softer side of him right from the start, even though Melanie wasn’t privy to this.

Tangled and Bound is a great short novel, and if you have an interest in BDSM and how people become involved in the scene then it’s definitely a book for you. Emily Ryan-Davis is now on my list of ‘must read authors’.
