Because it’s unique, very well written, the characters are real and flawed and made me absolutely root for them to find happiness and satisfaction and it captured me enough to read it in one sitting –yes I ignored the chores and I don’t care.

Melanie was fun, feisty but also hot-headed, making decisions quickly and a little too spontaneously. I liked her and certainly enjoyed her journey. Although not all the choices she made would match mine, I enjoyed that the author showed me her thought process so I could relate to her chosen path.

Sam… Mmm, what’s not to love about Sam? He’s big and bad and one hell of a Dom. I adored the dialogue between the two of them, particularly Sam’s. It really showed his maleness and the way he was fighting his emotions. I also enjoyed his inner monologue which showed the reader a softer side of him right from the start, even though Melanie wasn’t privy to this.

Tangled and Bound is a great short novel, and if you have an interest in BDSM and how people become involved in the scene then it’s definitely a book for you. Emily Ryan-Davis is now on my list of ‘must read authors’.
