George thought he’d seen it all in thirty years of tending bar. Then Red started coming into his place every Friday evening. She was certainly a creature of curious habit, but he didn’t give her much thought until she came in after-hours one night, naked under her winter coat and hoping to catch him alone.

Sarah had been playing a dangerous game, and she knew it. But she couldn’t make herself walk away without taking a chance on the sexy bartender who’d been pouring the beer and sparing the judgment the past few months.

A woman who has been frequenting his bar and picking up “dates” for one-night stands is back for him. Could this bartender resist a fling with a woman who doesn’t go for second dates, but shows up for him wearing only boots and a winter coat?

George had worked his way up from working in the bar to buying out his boss. In his thirty years of tending the bar, “Red” is the one woman who fascinates him. She started coming into his bar every Friday evening recently and has been a mysterious figure to him. No one seemed to know much about her and she didn’t stay long enough to shed more light to her story.

Sarah, (also known by George’s nickname for her, “Red”), has chosen George’s bar for specific reasons only known to her. She has a need to go through men as she has been doing until she satisfies something in her own mind. She thought it would be safe to carry on her deeds through George’s bar for a while.

Unbeknownst to both Sarah and George, when they do get together, someone else has an issue with what she has been doing. When Sarah doesn’t show up again, George is concerned and wondering about her. Is he a victim of her “no repeat” policy or is there something else more sinister going on? The characterization of the heroine was clever, lending to a quick explanation for the ways things were. Although not everyone would agree with the heroine’s actions, who is to say what one would do in similar circumstances? I enjoyed this escapade for what it was, an erotic chapter in the heroine’s life.

Using all words within the story for maximum effect, Ms. Kingston delivers a sizzling erotic short story with an intriguing plot. I enjoyed reading this quick, hot tale and will definitely check out more from Ms. Kingston and Ellora Cave Moderne Quickies!
