Taking a chance on love can be risky business sometimes, because one does not know how the other person will respond. But sometimes it takes a leap of faith, and when the attraction is so magnetic and strong two people can be drawn together without knowing whether they are ready or not to take a risk.

For Mia Sanford and Jake Hudson it took an office party, a small incident with the panties and one stupid office bet to bring them together (finally). I say finally because they were ogling each other and lusting after one another for years. And I still cannot understand why it took them so long; they are both grown up single people without partners or any other obstacles between them. They are working together in the same company, but not in the same department, neither one of them was superior to the other. It was pretty unbelievable that Jake needed approval from the company director in order to pursue Mia. Another thing that did not sit well with me is that when Mia and Jake finally get together their relationship is more sexual and physical than romantic which satisfied my desire for heat, but not for heart.

But on the other hand I find the other aspects of the story i.e. office party, description of Mia and Jake coworkers, group dynamics at the party very well written and interesting. The author has done a good job in creating the entire cast of characters. I also liked how Mia handled the situation with bet. That was really funny scene.

Risky Business falls more in the category of happy for now that happily ever after, but it is a fun and quick read packed with amusing situations and hot sex.
