And now she’s standing in his office demanding her old job back. Cal has no intention of rehiring her as the co-host of his home shopping TV show, Pleasure at Home. He has an altogether different position in mind for her—as his wife.

If Lucy wasn’t so desperate she never would’ve stepped foot in Cal Sellers’s office, let alone the block his building stood on. Lucy’s a survivor who managed to break free of her ex’s terrible abuse, but now he’s back and more determined than ever. He wants their daughter, Poppy, and will stop at nothing to get his little girl back.

Lush actually starts in the middle of these characters’ story but Ms. Yarnell did a wonderful job making sure this reader didn’t feel like half of the story was missing. I loved the whole story in general. The passion and the chemistry between Lucy and Cal is apparent from the very first meeting.

Lucy went through a lot of pain, both physical and mental, after her breakup with Cal. This shows up in her actions and way of thinking. The POV’s allowed me to see both sides of the story. That was a revelation and a wonderful plus in my opinion.

This is the second book in this series and even though I haven’t read the first book, I can safely say that it could be read as a stand-alone. There was one thing that I couldn’t quite understand. The title of the book. I am not entirely sure how Lush fit into this story even though it is very eye catching. That wasn’t an issue that took away from the enjoyment of the story. Just noticeable.

I would recommend Lush to any readers who love second chance stories.
