A love prescription so potent only the hottest doctor can fill it.

Miami TV reporter Francesca Lake is on a manhunt…or rather, a doctor hunt. Frankie wasn’t always a hypochondriac. Her motto used to be “Fear is not an option”, but everything changed with her mom’s near-fatal heart attack. Now a day doesn’t go by where she isn’t worried about something.

After a harrowing incident in the hospital ER, she has a life-altering epiphany. She needs to find a marriage-minded doctor ASAP—one who will calm her fears so she can get on with her life.

So begins a series of amorous escapades and startling revelations as she works her way through the list of eligibles: an outrageous Aussie sex therapist, a brilliant neurosurgeon (who’s wired the wrong way), and a handsome Cuban cardiologist.

None of them compares to hunky Dr. Harrison Taylor…but there’s a problem. Much as Harrison’s rugged physique, forest-green eyes and warm smile make her senses wobbly, she needs a people doctor, not the vet for her miniature dachshund Romeo. Besides, Harrison’s propensity for crazy stunts would only make her worry more.

Frankie is trying to be sensible, but her heart and her outspoken dog are conspiring against her…

Woof, woof, woof! Oh, sorry, I was speaking in dog terms. Why? Well, not only is there a comical and fun story in Paging Dr. Hot, there’s a cute dog named Romeo that plays a very important role in the story. Can’t understand dog speak? I apologize again. Perhaps I should just tell you what I know…..

Francesca Lake has a little bit of a problem. She’s become overwhelmed with constant worry. She freaks out at the smallest things, and can’t help herself. What’s a girl to do? This one decides it’s time to find a man, stat! Oh, not just any man, but a doctor. Can you smell the trouble brewing? Francesca is putting herself on the market, or at least, looking for a doctor on the market. Francesca is quite humorous. She’s not perfect, by far, but she’s easily to relate to. Haven’t you ever had an incident or a life changing event that puts you a little over the edge, maybe makes you crazy for a little while? I know I have. It’s pretty easy to do, that’s for sure.

Some of the prospects include Harrison, a neighbor, but he’s not a people doctor. He’s a vet. But I was rooting for him to win Francesca’s heart. He’s always around and helping her out, handling her quirks very well. He doesn’t want to just get into her pants, he’s actually a good friend. Come on, Harrison, go for the win!

The book is written in two points of view. It’s first person, so readers get a lot of insight on Francesca. But get this, there are snippets of information from another point of view:  Romeo. No, not the Shakespeare character, I promise. There is no rising from the dead in this book. It’s straight up contemporary. And no, Romeo isn’t one of the names of hunky or strange doctors Francesca has set in her radars, either. Am I keeping the suspense up for you? Romeo is Francesca’s beloved dog. Are you intrigued yet?

Paging Dr. Hot is a definite feel good read. It’s light, charming, witty and all around a great story! I had a blast with it. This is the kind of story that you can pull of the shelf again and again to surround yourself with fun. If this story is any indication of Ms. Knightly’s writing, I’m hooked. I need more.

If you’re a fan of great contemporary romantic comedies, I recommend Paging Dr. Hot. Warning, prepare for some great laughs!
