Selene and Julian need to get away from it all and rekindle the excitement that has been sorely lacking of late. Heading to the mountains for a romantic getaway, Selene packs the one thing she knows will make her weekend enjoyable. However, when Julian discovers her little secret, he’ll make her pay for her deviance. With the help of a forbidden text and an antique hairbrush, their passion will ignite in a way that neither expected.

If a spanking is what you wish for a spanking is what you’ll get!

Selene and Julian have an established relationship but it’s gotten a little stale lately. He’s a workaholic and their sex life has turned into a predictable routine that is merely ticking boxes and not lighting anyone’s fire. So when Julian suggests a weekend getaway where they can concentrate solely on each other Selene jumps at the chance – well wouldn’t you? Julian is drop dead gorgeous.

The mountain house he’s reserved for their weekend away is equally stunning and Selene really feels like they might connect again, more than connect, dig deeper than they ever have before into their desires. Trouble is Selene finds it hard to express exactly what she wants, the words just don’t form on her tongue. She’s not the most forthcoming of heroines.

However, beautiful, obsessive, determined Julian has found a way into her psyche in the form of a little red velvet book – A Feast of Festishes – that she left lying around. He now knows what she wants and luckily it’s exactly what he wants too. Just as well that boar-hair, polished wood brush has come along on the weekend away too!

One Hundred Strokes is pretty much just one sex scene long, but it’s well written from Selene’s point of view and certainly the spanking action is hot, hot, hot. I liked the characters and it was clear they had a history together, in fact it would have been nice to know more, but only because I sometimes find it hard when a guy gets particularly bossy when experimenting with his woman for the first time and I don’t know their background relationship and there is no safe word. But Selene, despite her tears and cries seems perfectly happy with the situation as he pushes her further than ever before.

One Hundred Strokes is a great read for fans of spanking fiction and the addition of a hair-brush as a delicious prop adds to the fun. I’d certainly read more by Ms Christian.
