I really enjoyed the pace of this story, quick enough to keep moving but without feeling rushed. I enjoyed getting to know Greg and Lane, I thought their characters meshed really well together and the world Ms Halle painted was vivid and interesting. I’d enjoy reading more of these characters and the supernatural goings on and was pleased to see there seemed to be others by her in this world. This is a short story – so the plot isn’t overly complicated, but I found it a fun, snappy read. I also really appreciated the wit wound into a paranormal, dangerous world filled with all kinds of creatures and hunters. With excellent characterization and an interesting take on Halloween, this is sure to appeal to many readers.
