Lust at first sight or could it be more?

A weekend fling sounds good on the surface. Tyler and Paige are each in Montauk, NY for their own reasons. He’s on a short vacation and she’s on a path to rediscover the writer buried beneath a broken heart.

Tyler is a delicious combination of athlete and brains. He’s a teacher and a soccer coach and he surfs. That’s a triple threat that does it for me. Plus, he doesn’t act like he has to be the man in charge all the time. The times he gives over and lets Paige have her wicked way with him were perfection!

I like Paige, too. The premise that she had writers block after having her heart so totally trampled on was believable. I only wish she had used those feelings, after she reconciles what love truly looks like, and did what all creative writers do: put the jerk in a book and kill him off slowly and painfully. That would have been fun to read.

Only a couple of issues with this short. There were several places where there was more telling than showing. Also, there was one scene where there was a minor inconsistency about what Tyler was wearing just before she undressed him for a very sensual shower so I quickly decided it didn’t really matter enough to pull me out of the their story and simply enjoyed the well choreographed scene.

Speaking of sexy situations, kitchen chair sex is HOT! And water play is pretty amazing, too. Ms. Anne knows how to bring the heat and the sweet.

I really enjoyed Tyler and Paige’s story. It was so bittersweet. Every sweet and sensual moment they had put them closer to the end of the weekend when he had to fly home and she had to go back to her life. I wanted to rush to the end and see make sure it wasn’t really an end. The author’s writing had pulled me in and I was rooting for Paige and Tyler to find a way to be together despite the obvious obstacles.

The story begins a little slow but picked up steam as soon as Tyler walks out in his birthday suit. Readers who look for feel good stories where love comes fast but feels real should give Make Me Forget a try. Well worth the read.
