I haven’t read the first book in this series, and don’t think it necessary to have done so, but I found this one to be very well-written, with a clear and concise storyline, and easy plot to follow. The world is easy to see, with their own traditions and laws.

This story moves along nicely, both with the plot and also being filled with steamy moments. I have no hesitation in recommending this story, and would be happy to continue with the series.
