Resisting him isn’t even a question, in or out of the bedroom. He protects her from the evil stalking her even as he teaches her what erotic sex is all about. When she’s kidnapped, his world is turned upside down and he employs all the resources of The Phoenix Agency to rescue her. He won’t rest until she’s back safely in his life—and in his bed for the rest of their lives.

Desiree Holt has showed this reader once more that she is indeed the ruling queen of fictional romance! Ms. Holt has consistently scored high points in the service of writing excellent works. Not only is she one of my favorite authors but I find myself recommending her to everyone I talk to who is interested in a great erotic romance. I continually find myself seeking out her imaginative literary art pieces to add to my climbing stash of creative favorite reads! I have stated this before but it bears repeating, she has established herself as one who can conquer multiple venues and still provide entertaining media in many different scenarios. I thought this book was outstanding.

Feel the Heat is a thrilling story-ride of literary suspense, intrigue and eroticism and is Book 5 in the Phoenix Agency series. I have had the privilege of reading several of the “Phoenix Agency” books and even reviewing some previously, and I have to say that I find the whole series to be well written and absolutely fun to read. Ms. Holt can write a passionate adventure that is filled with conspiracy and twisting plots that can entertain her reader’s from start to finish. I could not put this book down until I read it all the way through in one sitting.

I love her main characters. I felt that Troy was an excellent hero for the selfless heroin Lauren. I thought their romance was well described and I loved the fact that she brings in some of our past favorite characters from previous books in the series. One of the best selling points to me however was the fact that this was a good stand alone book. You did not need to read all of the previous books to figure out what was going on. This book covered all the ground-work needed to enjoy this paranormal mystery. Her villains were despicable and I love an evil villain (or two).

Do I recommend “Feel the Heat”? You bet! If you are looking for a HOT read during the summer heat, Feel the Heat maybe the scorcher you are looking for.
