Darius and Medusa, Lamon and Sicily, Theron and Ryver — these three couples have struggled to make love work in the middle of the vampire-mage war, but now talk of peace is testing the strength of their relationships. One simple meeting could mean the end of it all or the start of a new and brighter future together.

Darius, the Mage King, is tired of the Mage-Vampire war and just wants to be able to publicly display his love for his wife Medusa, a vampire. So Darius decides to call an end to the war but he needs the support and help of the vampire lord, Theron. Darius sends a message to Theron asking him to meet so that they could discuss matters. Lamon, Theron’s right hand man thinks it’s a trap and does not want Theron to go alone, but he cannot leave his wife Sicily who is a newly turned vampire. Even though the mage king has powers, Theron is not without his own, so he decides to go alone leaving his wife Ryver behind in a deep sleep that he induced. All Theron wants to do is bring Medusa back and rid themselves of the Mage King.

Imagine Theron’s surprise when he walks in and finds not only Medusa but his wife Ryver in the room with the Mage King. He is ready to do battle until Darius assures him that no harm will come to them and that they really do want peace. He can also see the love and affection Medusa and Darius shares which allows him to take a closer look at Darius.

This was a quick read and an enjoyable one, and it’s always a plus when the women in the story are not simpering females but strong intelligent women. Caveat Emptor 7: Eternal Lovers is the final book in the series, and can be read as a stand alone, but I believe you would get a much better understanding of the story if the entire series were read. That way each of the characters mentioned in this book would be more familiar and you would know the background story for each. So if you decide to read this story I would suggest that you start with book one Caveat Emptor: Charmed Lover that way you will get a better feel of the series and characters.
