How far would you go to save your family’s ranch?

The world building was extremely well done. I was especially impressed with how the narrator explained the bigger picture of where these characters live and why their world is organized the way it is. There were so many different layers to it that this adventure could have easily been expanded into something full-length. While it worked perfectly well in the short story form, I’m hoping that the author will consider writing a sequel. I’d love to know what happens to Carter and Rani next.

I would have liked to see more attention paid to how the romance began. The circumstances the characters involved in it were dealing with at the time were difficult. While I definitely wanted these characters to end up together and was pleased with how the rest of their interactions went, I did have a few lingering questions about how it all began that could have easily been answered with the addition of one or two more brief scenes.

The pacing made my heart race. A big part of what made the most intense scenes so unforgettable later on was how much time the author spent building up to them. It was fascinating to see everything come together. As exciting as the beginning was, the plot only became even more interesting as it sprinted towards the conclusion.

I’d heartily recommend Dangerous Territory to fans of romance and science fiction alike. This is a skillful blend of both genres!
