Jennifer is bored working for a car salesman. So when her boss’ Madam offered her a position as a PA, Jennifer thought the offer was simply too interesting to give up. Initially, being PA to a high class call girl agency isn’t that different to being a PA anywhere else after all. When boredom had really sunk in, Jennifer did something a little risky. She booked herself in to respond to a client’s request. Mason Greene hardly ever used the agency and lived on his own tropical island. Surely no one would catch her out?

This is a fun, very short story. I was immediately drawn to the “what if?” aspect of the story. What if you could get away with a week of no strings passion? What if Jennifer didn’t get caught? How would her small adventure all work out? After the first few pages I had a bunch of questions and was extremely interested on how it would all unfold. There were a few small surprises that I really enjoyed, and I particularly liked how we learned things about Mason as Jennifer did. I thought that helped keep the story feeling fresh and the pace moving quickly – which is important for such a short story.

Written in the first person, I thought this lent the story an air of confessional – one of those “secret musings of a call girl’s PA” type thing. Personally, I enjoyed it and the first person storytelling didn’t bother me at all. The sex was passionate and deliciously descriptive – but nothing too outrageous. I enjoyed that there was a clear emotional connection between Mason and Jennifer despite the clinical manner in which they were brought together.

A fun, lighthearted summery short story, this was a great read and I’d happily find more from this author.
