Jason Kennly needs to get a closer look when he spots a gray leather collar from across the dealers’ room at a science fiction convention, even if there’s no way he can afford it on his college student budget. After all, looking is free. But then he spots something he wants even more than the collar: leather booth owner Henry Durand, who insists Jason try it on. When Henry asks Jason to be his model at a bondage demo, Jason agrees despite his lack of experience as a sub and ends up spending a no-strings-attached weekend exploring his kinky side with a virtual stranger.

Then the con is over, Jason and Henry go their separate ways, and it’s back to real life. Coming to terms with his identity as a submissive and masochist isn’t easy for Jason. Suddenly he has to face fear, doubt, and a best friend who’ll do anything to get him away from “that creep” and back together with the ex-boyfriend who ignored him. All Jason wants is to be with Henry, but what if that means becoming his slave?

Age does not make a difference when it comes to love. Bound: Forget me Not is the first of many books, I hope, between Jason (age 22) and Henry (age 40). This is H. B. Pattaskyn’s second novel, and if she keeps writing novels like this one she should develop quite a following.

Jason Kennly is a college student working set up for a convention. He meets Henry, a booth owner. Henry gets Jason to demo for him, opening him up to a different world. Jason has very little support system around him. His mother passed away when he was seventeen and his father did not know he existed until her death. It’s apparent to anyone that Jason is a submissive trying to make the people around him happy at his expense of his happiness. Jason comes across as a bit too whiny at times. He is very young and I hope will grow out of the whininess.

Henry is a leather booth owner and is drawn to Jason. He sees that Jason could be the perfect submissive. The age difference between the two, while coming as a shock to Henry, does not stop either one. Henry cherishes Jason and accepts him in a way no else has since his mother. I did wonder about Henry’s motives getting involved with Jason. Is he trying to be a friend, or a lover? I did like that the author showed that Henry had doubts and fears when dealing with Jason.

The chemistry between Henry and Jason burns up the pages. The sex scenes between the two are scorching hot. I also liked that, while the play between Jason and Henry was intense, there was not extreme hardcore BDSM. There was no humiliation or blood play. I liked that Henry and Jason had conversations out of the Dom/sub roles. I also liked that Henry wanted to show Jason as much as he could in the short amount of time they had.

This book is a true love story where age does not matter. I really loved this book! If you are a fan of Sean Michael’s novels then you may enjoy this book. I did not want the book to end. I cannot wait to see what happens to Jason and Henry in the future.
