In a world that is similar to ours, and yet different in so many ways, you have The Grimm Order. Named for the Brothers Grimm, this sect has different Houses for the rich and wealthy. This is what has happened to Fawn. Scarred and disgraced, she never thinks she will be Owned again, and is more than okay with that. Her life changes once again when Master Lyon enters her life.

What a story this was!!! It is a dark story, with little to no romance, so if you are looking for that… well, you’re in the wrong place. The characters are written really well, and you, as the reader, will be left wondering about the motivations of some of them. The world-building is superb, with it being completely jarring when you read about ‘normal’ life when you are engrossed with the story.

The ending is both perfect for the story, and also completely shocking. It was a twist I never saw coming, and I can’t wait to see what happens in the next book. Absolutely brilliant, and definitely recommended by me.
