Alone With You is a very delightful story, it is the second book in Aliyah Burke’s Interludes series, the first being Temporary Home. This is a stand alone book so it isn’t necessary for you to read the first book in this series; however Temporary Home is an excellent story so I do recommend you read it.

The characters in Alone With You were engaging and the chemistry between them was hot, not only in the bedroom but outside of the bedroom. This story had everything that a reader needed to wrap themselves in; there was hot sex, conflict, witty conversation and a good story. I enjoyed how Ariel’s family especially her mom referred to her military service as her ‘playing in the dirt’ instead of recognizing her as a Marine.

The characters in this story, Tuck, Ariel and Tuck’s roommate Steve reached out and pulled you into their lives. The supporting characters such as Ariel’s parents and Tuck’s ex girlfriend Daisy helped show how complex Tuck and Ariel were.

Aliyah Burke is one of my go to authors because I know that she always delivers an enjoyable story. I have yet to read something by her that I did not like; she has a way of capturing her reader from the start and immerses you in her tale.

Alone with You is a good read and one that I would recommend, hopefully you will enjoy it as much as I did.
