Hammer offers to stay and help Lane renovate the lake house, and that’s an offer Lane can’t make himself refuse.

Strap yourself in for one hell of an emotional ride. Both Hammer and Lane are manly, macho, stubborn as hell men, neither willing to give an inch. This creates some fireworks and intense, sexy scenes. Lane is determined to come to grips with his disability by himself and refuses to lean on Hammer or anyone else. A few years ago Lane had dumped Hammer, insisting he didn’t want or need the man sexually or otherwise. But Hammer, after recovering from Lane dumping his ass, is refusing to go anywhere and make Lane see reason. What follows is, in my opinion, one of the hottest short stories about two broken alpha men that I’ve ever read. Full of chemistry and sizzling heat, this is a short but wonderful ride, full of emotion and venerability.

While this isn’t the first book I’ve read by Sean Michael, I’m quickly becoming addicted to his style of writing and ingenious imagination. I find his stories realistic, manly without being over the top and full of emotion which the romance reader in me craves. This is a satisfying read and I’m certain I’ll be back for more. Recommended.
