Maverick Storm is a killer, a lion shifter who left the life of killing behind but wasn’t really living. Enter Kettah, the daughter of the man he hates and the reason he left to try and life a normal life.  More, Kettah is in serious trouble, trouble that Maverick can’t ignore.

This is a fated mate story so as soon as Maverick meets Kettah, he knows he’ll kill again to protect her even if he doesn’t think he’s good enough for her. They are a good couple because despite being fated mates, they don’t jump into bed immediately. They take time to get to know each other and work together to try and make her safer. When things come to a head, they both fight to keep her alive.

I really liked Maverick and Kettah, they make a good combo. Together they are a great couple, one of my favorites of the series. I really look forward to more Sweet Water in the future.
