• We cannot guarantee all books received will be reviewed, though we will do our best.

• We reserve the right to decline to review books at our discretion.

• All books submitted need to be associated with a publishing company and should be fully edited.  We do not accept self-published works (for example: Lulu, Author House and Create Space, among others) at this time (click here for a more in depth explanation of this policy).  Our reviewers, however, are always free to review any book they have read independently and enjoyed so at times a self-published author may get reviewed via that method.

• We only review erotic ROMANCE and require stories with a strong romantic theme as well as a "Happy Ever After" or at least a "Hopefully Ever After".

• Please do not submit stories that include depraved or illegal acts,  bestiality,  degradation of men or women (rape),  incest, or pedophilia (no sex involving underage characters)

1. Please email the PDF file of the story and a jpg file of the cover (if available) to whippedcream2@gmail.com. If you are submitting a print book, please email us for our mailing address.

2. Please include the TITLE of your story/novel in the subject line, and the words "review request" so it isn't deleted as spam.

3. Please include the length--short/novella (1-150 pgs) or full length (151+ pgs), the genre (historical, paranormal, contemporary, etc), a short blurb, any additional information regarding content (BDSM, ménage, multiple partners, spanking, etc.) and the "buy" link (where someone can go to purchase it) in the body of your email. All of this information helps us to get your story to the best reviewer for you. Remember: we only review erotic ROMANCE and require stories with a strong romantic theme as well as a "Happy Ever After".

4. Please be patient. We will respond to your request to let you know we've received it. We will also email you to let you know when the review goes up on the site.

5. All review requests will be kept in our database for up to three months.  At that time, if no reviewer has been found for the story, the request will be removed from our database, and the submitter notified.

6. We are determined to be a site that only issues honest, but positive reviews. Therefore, if we have more than two reviewers who cannot find positive remarks to say about a story, it will be declined. Please understand, this is not necessarily a reflection upon you, the author, or your story -- opinions vary greatly. It just means that the reviewers who volunteer their time here at Whipped Cream didn't care for it. We will notify you via email if this particular circumstance occurs. We appreciate your understanding!

1 Cherry -- At this time, we at Whipped Cream do not post these reviews. If the book was boring, badly edited, poorly written, had little or no plot, stilted dialogue, and /or unsympathetic characters, we will decline the review.

2 Cherries -- Not wonderful, but tolerable. There may be some minor editing glitches but not enough to stop you reading. Not a wall-banger, but nothing you'd re-read. This is a book you would borrow from the library - not buy- and never check out again. You might recommend it to a friend with a mention of the glitches, knowing that something in the plot or story would still appeal to them regardless.

3 Cherries-- Good. Mostly enjoyable. You made it through and didn't consider it a waste of time or money. The story was strong enough or the conflict tight enough, so even when the book faltered, it was able to draw you back in and keep you. There's a chance you'll recommend it to a friend, but it wouldn't go on your keeper shelf.

4 Cherries-- Very Good. You're glad you were the one who got to review this book. You would probably buy it and would definitely recommend it to your friends. You liked the characters and the plot. The writing style was good and the editing clean.

WC Best Book - For a book or story that is truly exceptional. You think about it when you're not reading it. You wonder what happens to the characters when you finish. You would absolutely buy everything else this author had to offer. The highest praise - and reserved for only a few.
