Bourbon Street Heat by Lisa Perry |
|
Stacy Newport, CEO of Elite Advertising
Company in the Big Apple, is dragged away from the rat-race by her best
friend, landing amidst the mayhem of Mardi Gras for some much needed fun
after years of hard work and social sacrifice. ♥ ♥ ♥
In this neatly penned, hot story we meet Stacy Newport, a workaholic who runs her own business. Her best friend from Junior High School, Rochelle, is a model who plans a three day getaway for Mardi Gras. Practical Stacy almost backs out of the vacation due to needing a CPA for her business. Rochelle is a party animal who manages to talk Stacy into going. The banter between the friends is loaded with sexual innuendo's. Typical girl talk, very cute and also quite funny.
A stranger in a mask, Marcus as we later find out his name is, seduces Stacy in the middle of Bourbon Street. I could feel the sexual heat pouring off him as he leads her to an alley. After doing things backwards, they decide to get to know each other. I could feel every moment of their time together in the cafe and later in his room. I think the main characters worked so well together in the story was because they were both after the same experience in New Orleans.
This is a well written short with sexual scenes I could feel between Marcus and Stacy. The story is simple and the ending is easy to predict but all in all a very sexy read. |
