Find out how hot it gets when you mix a sexy firefighter with a spunky redhead hell bent on driving him crazy!

Logan Knight is staying with his grandfather while recuperating from an accident that claimed the lives of his two best friends. He needs time to heal his body and his heart from the tragedy of that fire.

Libby Turner will do whatever it takes to keep her parents from placing her beloved grandmother into an assisted living facility—even masquerading as a 70-year-old woman. From the moment the two meet, sparks fly and they can't keep their hands off each other.

Can they stick to their plan of keeping their relationship strictly sexual, or do they give in to the overwhelming love that threatens to claim their hearts?

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It was witty, and cute with just enough angst to make you wonder how it would all work out in the end. I thought it was a pretty original premise, or at least one I had never witnessed before. Who would ever think that they would meet their true love in a Senior’s Community? They both have their reasons for being there, it’s just a matter of each finding out why.

Logan is a tortured hero. Truly tortured. When he meets Libby he is recuperating both mentally and physically. He is convinced that he is unfit for any kind of relationship beyond a sexual one. He feels responsible for some pretty horrible things, when in truth there was nothing to be done. He doesn’t expect to find Libby in such an unlikely place. Little does he know… she is exactly what he needs.

Logan is just my kind of hero. Even if he did seem a bit cliché in his desire to keep things strictly sexual. He was strong, determined, built and sexy. Not to mention the fact that he’s a firefighter… I have a serious thing for firefighters. I really liked watching Logan struggle with his urges as far as Libby were concerned. And how even though he figured it out rather quickly that “sex only” wouldn’t work, he still fought to the bitter end because he thought it was best for her to not have him in her life. I was glad that he found what he needed in his life to heal and be a man again.

Libby is a spunky, feisty heroine who contrarily lets those she loves walk all over her. When she finally takes a stand I had to cheer for her. She moves in with her Grandmother to save someone she loves. She broke off a bad relationship because she refused to be a doormat any longer. When we meet Libby, she is determined to do anything she can to help her grandmother. As you can guess… hi-jinx ensue.

I loved how she did what she felt was right, even though others may think she was crazy. Her surprise at the power she held over Logan was comical to witness as she didn’t truly understand his fascination with her. HER fascination with HIM was perfectly understandable in her eyes. When she meets and gets to know Logan she sees a man who needs to heal, and she is so very glad that she can be there to help him do so.

The only pitfalls I see in this story is that there were a few moments where the language used by both main characters in a sex scene was… overly flowery. It was a bit unexpected, at least in my opinion, when it seemed that the two of them could be earthy when the mood struck them. I anticipated quite different words, considering this was an Erotic Romance. I’m not saying that the Author’s voice needs to be changed, but maybe the characters can speak more true to life in those situations. There were even a few “I love you” lines that made me roll my eyes and smile at the same time. None of this detracted from the story or my enjoyment of this book, they were merely speedbumps to be overcome.

Again, I did thoroughly enjoy this book. The characters were fun, and real. I could relate to their pain and was happy when they finally thought they could work things out. What more can you possibly ask for in a book? Well… romance of course, and this had a fun, hot and even sweet romance between two people who needed life and the possibility of love to be affirmed for them. A great read and one I would recommend to those looking for a fun read with some added heat.
