Books at Buy.com!
1. Please email the PDF file of the story and a jpg file of the cover (if available) to LASReviews@gmail.com. If you are submitting a print book, please email us for our mailing address.

2. Please include the TITLE of your story/novel in the subject line, and the words "review request" so it isn't deleted as spam.

3. Please include the length (short/novella/full), the genre (historical, paranormal, contemporary, inspirational, etc), a short blurb, and the heat level (sweet, sensual, spicy or hot - click on previous link for what each description means), and the "buy" link (where someone can go to purchase it) in the body of your email.

**NOTE**: Please read over our heat level descriptions carefully -- submitting your story with the wrong "heat level" may delay your review or affect the rating adversely.

4. Please be patient. I will respond to your request to let you know we've received it. I will also email you to let you know when the review goes up on the site.

5. Please remember: we prefer to read and review only titles that have strong romantic elements -- either romance, women's fiction or most young adult titles. If Harlequin or The Wild Rose Press would publish it, we'll read it. All other titles are subject to possible refusal on a case by case basis.

Additionally, we do not review erotica or gay/lesbian romance at this time.  All GLBT reviews should be sent to Whipped Cream.

6. All review requests will be kept in our database for up to three months.  At that time, if no reviewer has been found for the story, the request will be removed from our database, and the submitter notified.

7. We are determined to be a site that only issues honest, but positive reviews. Therefore, if we have more than two reviewers who cannot find positive remarks to say about a story, it will be declined. Please understand, this is not necessarily a reflection upon the author, or the story -- opinions vary greatly. It just means that the reviewers who volunteer their time here at LASR didn't care for it. We will notify you via email if this particular circumstance occurs. We appreciate your understanding!

PLEASE NOTE:

* We cannot guarantee all books received will be reviewed.
* We reserve the right not to review books at our discretion.
* All books submitted need to be associated with a publishing company and should be fully edited.  We do not accept self-published works at this time.

Thank you.

Heat Level Descriptions

Sweet: Contains no visual love scenes and no descriptive kissing, but can include sexual tension.

Sensual: Contains a high degree of sexual tension, steamy kisses and passionate clinches, but all fully consummated love scenes will be implied, not described, and with the bedroom door firmly closed.

Spicy: Contains actual love scenes and may include detailed descriptions of foreplay and consummation.

Hot: Contains sizzling and very detailed love scenes throughout and graphic, explicit content which may be offensive to some.

Book Rating Descriptions
Please remember: All reviews are solely based on the reviewer's opinion.

1 Book — At this time, we at LASR do not post these reviews. If the book was boring, badly edited, poorly written, had little or no plot, stilted dialogue, and/or unsympathetic characters, we will decline the review.

2 Books — Not wonderful, but tolerable. There may be some minor editing glitches but not enough to stop you reading. Not a wall-banger, but nothing you'd re-read. This is a book you would borrow from the library - not buy- and never check out again. You might recommend it to a friend with a mention of the glitches, knowing that something in the plot or story would still appeal to them regardless.

3 Books — Good. Mostly enjoyable. You made it through and didn't consider it a waste of time or money. The story was strong enough or the conflict tight enough, so even when the book faltered, it was able to draw you back in and keep you. There's a chance you'll recommend it to a friend, but it wouldn't go on your keeper shelf.

4 Books — Very Good. You're glad you were the one who got to review the book. You would probably buy it and would definitely recommend it to your friends. You liked the characters and the plot. The writing style was good and the editing clean.

5 Books — Great! You would definitely buy this book. You would definitely recommend it to your friends. You really loved the characters and the plot and would consider looking for this authors back list or making her an autobuy. The writing and editing were superb.

A LASR Best Book - For a book or story that is truly exceptional. You think about it when you're not reading it. You wonder what happens to the characters when you finish. You would absolutely buy everything else this author had to offer. The highest praise - and reserved for only a few.
