Award-winning author, Pauline
Baird Jones was born and raised in Wyoming--which did nothing to prepare her
to live in the steamy south. Married for 33 years, mom to 3, and author of
ten books of fiction and non-fiction, she's both introvert and hermit, but
will emerge to talk books with readers and authors. She's a huge fan of
ebooks and owns an iPhone, an ebookwise and a sassy Sony Reader (hey, it was
a gift!) When she's not writing, she's curled up in a chair reading.

When Sara Donovan joins Project Enterprise she finds out that what doesn’t kill her makes her stronger…
An Air Force pilot – the best of the best to be assigned to this
mission – Sara isn’t afraid to travel far beyond the Milky Way
on an assignment that takes her into a galaxy torn apart by a
long and bitter warfare between the Dusan and the Gadi.
After she’s shot down and manages to land safely on an
inhospitable planet, Sara encounters Kiernan Fyn – a seriously
hot alien with a few secrets of his own – he’s a member of a
resistance group called the Ojemba, lead by the mysterious and
ruthless Kalian. Together they must avoid capture, but can they
avoid their growing attraction to each other?
A mysterious, hidden city on the planet brings Sara closer to
the answers she seeks – about her baffling abilities and her
mother’s past. She has no idea she’s being pulled into the same
danger her mother fled – the key to a secret left behind by a
lost civilization, the Garradians.
The Dusan and the Gadi want the key. So do the Ojemba. They
think Sara has it. They are willing to do anything to get it.
Sara will have to do anything to stop them…

Reviews: "I don't generally seek science fiction, fantasy, or romance stories. Books in these genres must come to me as recommendations from trusted sources. After several people suggested I would enjoy The Key, I picked it up - and then couldn't put it down until the last word. Anyone in the market for a fun read should check out this book - just be careful when you start it as you just may find yourself staying up all night to finish." http://charsbookreviews.blogspot.com/ "This thrilling adventure and love story is the stuff of dreams for a perfect romantic space adventure. Stories like this are why I love to read, and I definitely understand why this novel has been nominated for awards. Forget sleeping, plan on take out, and invest your time relishing this magnificent tale." Five Stars, Featured review from Manic Readers "The Key was good in every way a novel can be. It's an engrossing story with full character development and growth. There is an ultimate battle between good and evil and Ms. Baird Jones even makes the villain likable on some levels. For me, The Key is one of those rare books that strengthened my love of reading. Thanks for the story Pauline." Night Owl Romances Top Pick and Reviewer's Choice. "For the SFR buff this is a must read. Don’t bother if you are looking for futuristic erotica. The characterization is good and the romance is compelling. There is plenty of sexual tension but little actual sex. There is adventure and suspense. Also, something I personally require, there is an HEA. If you like a few nanites and ray guns in your romance you should pick this one up." The Good, The Bad, The Unread reviews "Action is the name of the game as a feisty and hard-hitting heroine rises to the challenge in this rousing space adventure. Not only is this a fast-paced tale, the rampaging deception and cultural clashes ensure this hero and heroine will need all their survival skills." 4 stars from Romantic Times "Great plot! Superb workmanship on the characters! So sit back and take the ride of your life. This was by far the best Sci Fi novel in a long time. Pauline Baird Jones, a marvelous creator of some remarkable characters, put a new twist on a great Sci Fi story, The Key." Simegen Reviews |

Reviews:
"Jones is back and taking on new genres and
challenges in this high-intensity time-traveling war thriller. Love can
truly span generations, as these soul mates born out of time prove. Adding
in the drama of being trapped behind enemy lines ratchets up the tension and
thrill factor! " Four Stars! Romantic Times—Jill M. Smith "...the story is magical,
romantic, and funny. It's a hoot to see Mel, a thoroughly 21st century
woman, trying to cope with the culture, and the uncomfortable shoes, of
wartime England. When she joins the crew in a mission to occupied France,
the reader can imagine what it must have been like inside the bomber, trying
to complete their mission under terrifying circumstances. In this homage to
the Greatest Generation, Jones takes us on a wild and often poignant ride
through time." Over My Dead Body Reviews "It's great fun to see Mel, a thoroughly 21st century woman, trying to cope with the culture, and the uncomfortable shoes, of wartime England. Reviews: When it comes to creating stories with offbeat humor and outrageous situations, Pauline Baird Jones is in a class by herself. A most excellent experience!" Jill Smith, Romantic Times; 4 Stars. "Once again, Pauline Jones has managed to write a book that rivals anything other comedy writers have put out there for the discerning reader. Ms. Jones' tongue-in-cheek writing style will appeal to anybody, with or without a sense of humor. I spent half my time roaring with laughter and the other half enthralled with the mystery of 'whodunit'. This book is a must read of the highest caliber for anyone who just loves a great book, a good laugh and a fantastic story." Ariana Overton for Midnight Scribe, Murder List, WordWeaving, Tracy's Book Reviews, ebookconnections.com and Sharpwriter "I could hardly bear to put this book down for anything. I kept wading through dead bodies to discover the tie in and get this mystery all figured out. I look forward to more hilarious reading from Pauline Baird Jones." Five thumbs up from Kathy Boswell, Kathy's Faves and Raves Pauline Baird Jones has definitely carved a niche for herself in the category of romantic comedy, with talent that rivals the best and a sense of humor that is sure to leave readers breathless with laughter. If you love romantic comedy and haven't had a chance to read DO WAH DIDDY . . . DIE, you don't know what you're missing. This one is a must read! —Reviewer's Choice Award from Scribes World "If you have ever read Pauline Jones' work, I won't need to say anything more than "she's raised the bar once again." Beyond good, excellent, and all the rest of my store of superlatives, DO WAH DIDDY…DIE had me recommending it to all my email friends before I had read more than ten pages. After reading it, I'm sure you will know (and plan to attend) the movie. The production of this delightful romantic suspense starts this summer." Four crescents from Patricia White, Crescent Blues |
