Cora St. John led a charmed life until she realized her husband was
keeping a secret from her; one that was so powerful and so
overwhelming that it would change her life forever. As her world
comes crashing down around her, Cora realizes she is holding onto her
own secret - and as she comes up against her worst fears – she knows
she has no choice but to tell Phillip the truth. When all of the
truths are brought to the surface, they are suddenly faced with the
idea that, for the first time, their love might not be strong enough
to see them through. Or will it?
♥ ♥ ♥ To read Find Your Way Home, a box of tissues needs to be within reach. It tells a story of the saddest and most traumatic event of a woman’s life. The emotions are to the extreme at both ends of the spectrum.Parts of the novel read as if they are memoirs while other parts show the immediate feelings of the characters. The changes from what happened in the past and what is going on in the present are mixed. Consequently, the story is a little jarring to read at times but the anecdotes are too good to miss. Certainly, the beautiful wedding vows are a joy to read. When Cora’s husband Phillip dies leaving her with their children to raise, she seems to lose all the logical reasoning that made her a good criminal lawyer. Shattered and feeling incomplete without the love of her life, she cannot seem to get past the angry stage of grief. Diana Stefano shows the mighty struggle Cora has with being alive after Phillip dies. Find Your Way Home leaves the reader with lots of things to think about such as how children at different ages cope with the death of a parent. How can the left-behind parent help the children when his or her burden seems too heavy to carry? How can one move on when the sorrow doesn’t go away? Diana Stefano embodies many true-to-life issues in Find Your Way Home-- a story that will touch your heart. |
