Is the dragon more than Policeman Colley can handle or will she teach him to fly high?

Ryon Colley can't understand what's happening to his life. This morning he was a policeman investigating a potential hazard: a sparking, flashing, rainbow-spitting light show in the sky overhead. The source of the odd light appeared to be an unruly-haired blonde hellion, who couldn't figure out what normal was. Her radiant display scared him, but his physical reaction to it scares him more. By lunchtime he's gone from having coarse brown hair, to sporting a head full of blond locks—and from facing felons, to fending off thousands of voracious dragonflies.

Glynt has been sent to Earth to guard the dimensional gateways, but her arrival spawns nothing but trouble. Quite accidentally, she's summoned swarms of dragonflies, and lured in captors determined to return her—clearly a mischief maker—to her own world. Only Ryon—her gilded hero and the object of her newfound dreams—can rescue her from certain death.

Can Ryon keep the fire burning in her or will it fade out?

As fairly new reader of science-fiction/fantasy, I found myself captivated by the otherworld from whence Gynt came. Dragonflies, as big as dragons, that preyed on humans grabbed my attention. The idea of human beings in that position on the food chain had me reading with a keen desire to find out just how the earth people and the otherworld ones overcome such overwhelming odds.

OF DRAGONS is a love story set in two realms that gives the reader some hot sexual elements that thrive in spite of the dangers that both primary and secondary characters face.

Ryon Colley, a super cop, finds himself drawn to Gynt who loves the light of earth and often creates pyrotechnic lights of her own. Her life in the otherworld was primarily spent in the dark and in fear. On earth, she finds her hero, Ryon who is one of her own kind even though he doesn’t know it.

They are drawn to each other in a primal way that is scary for both of them but they work together to outwit the predators that slipped through the “door” to get to earth. Later they find themselves pitted against the human-chomping dragons in the otherworld.

The secondary characters, Pike, Veronica (Ronnie), Joe and Tom play vital roles as the plot unfolds. These are characters just as compelling as the hero and heroine. They keep the reader fully engaged with humor and individual eccentric ways that add subplots to the primary plot.

The humor in spite of the horrible conditions in the otherworld helps the reader see that the characters are more than just survivors in desperate situations. They are conquerors and destined for great things to come.

Lastly, who would ever imagine that “much-reviled FAT” in today’s would be such a positive factor in bringing about the Happy-Ever-After for our characters and for the many to come after them.

Melody Knight’s OF DRAGONS is a delightful story.
