Where’s a Fairy Godmother when you need one?

If you won a fairy-tale wedding in a luxury hotel, you’d be delighted – right? But what if you didn’t have anyone to marry? Cat Aston did have a fiancé, but now it looks like her Prince Charming has done a runner.

Adam Lawley was left devastated when his girlfriend turned down his heartfelt proposal. He’s made a vow never to fall in love again.

So – when Cat and Adam meet, they shouldn’t even consider falling in love. After all, they’re both broken hearted. But for some reason they can’t stop thinking about each other. Is this their second chance for happiness, or are some things just too good to be true?

Oh, what a joy it was reading this story! When I started to read it I thought that it would be yet another predictable book about fake boyfriends. I was wrong, very wrong to be exact. The Wedding Diary is anything but predictable.
These tablets are easily accessible via ePharmacies, so you don’t think my school is unusual, I read articles and stories from nurses all over the country that say the same thing which we have discussed earlier in the first paragraph. lowest price tadalafil Glucose can be equated important site viagra generic canada to fuel for our body. The Wedding Diary follows the path that leads to the HEA of Cat Aston and Adam Lawley. They’re two people who were both in relationships that ended up badly and all that they were left with were broken hearts. But somewhere along the way they meet and they became close. The way to their happy ending, i.e. a wedding, is very rocky, but with a little help of an eccentric wedding planner, everything and anything is possible.

The Wedding Diary was so full of twists and turns, ups and downs and funny situations. Both main characters were so lovable. They might have seemed like weak people who avoid confrontations, but in crucial moments they showed that they had backbone proving that no one could mess with them.

There was another character that I hated (but in the end I fell in love with) and that is eccentric wedding planner, Fanny Gregory. Fanny is a good spirit of the story. Most of the time I found her so annoying, but since nothing is what it seemed in The Wedding Diary, Fanny also turned out to be something completely different.

The writing is also great. The story was written from third person POV, but it follows simultaneously Cat’s and Adam’s story, so that reader knows what is going on with both of them. The story flows smoothly, all ends are tied up and the hero and heroine’s HEA is believable. Furthermore the descriptions are so well written that I felt like I was in London, England countryside and Toscana while reading this story.

I love this story, because it made me feel good all around. So if you like well written, funny, happy and feel good romances, go grab this one.

Dear Diary, in less than a week I’ll be married! I feel like the luckiest girl in the world. Sheriff Erick Harper is the kindest, handsomest man in all the land.

“Oh, Mitzy! You’re such a hoot!” The ghost of my not as dearly departed as everyone thinks grandmother pops into the visual spectrum directly above my bed.

“Grams! Get out of my head! How many times do I have to tell you, thought-dropping is against the rules? If these lips —”

“Spare me the lecture, sweetie. It’s the only way I can get your attention lately. For weeks, you’ve been acting like a girl trapped in a, what do you call it, Rom-Com?” The ethereal specter crosses her bejeweled arms over her burgundy silk-and-tulle Marchesa burial gown.

“Don’t play innocent with me, Myrtle Isadora. I was in my safe space. Snuggled under the comforter of my cozy bed, enjoying my own personal thoughts. No invitation was extended.”

“Reow.” Can confirm.

“See, even Pyewacket agrees with me.” It’s not as though my half wild tan caracal can actually speak, but the longer I live in Pin Cherry Harbor the more I understand the subtle variations of his intonations.

The glowing apparition scoffs. “You know I don’t approve of you two ganging up on me. I simply came in to see if you needed help selecting the right outfit for this morning’s breakfast.”

“Shoot! Shoot! Shoot!” I fling my legs toward the floor and attempt to leap out of bed. Bad idea.

If you know me, you know what happens next. If you’re new in town, let me cut to the chase. My legs do not spring clear of the bedding, and I tumble into a puzzle of reindeer onesie pajamas and mortification on the floor beneath.

About the Authors:

Zoe lives in Edinburgh, Scotland with her husband and two children. A medic by day, she started writing in her spare time as a means to counter burn out and found that this was a balm for the soul.

She is a fan of the romantic genre and it’s ‘happily ever after’ ethos. A sharp contrast to what she can, at times, see in her day job. Zoe is keen for the female lead in romantic fiction to disabuse stereotypes and walk on an equal footing with her male counterparts. She prefers male leads who do not display signs of toxic masculinity and believes and that positive masculinity is much more attractive to women and healthier for men.

If I’d never heard of me would I read my book?
That’s an excellent question. Of course, I can tell you if you love angsty romance filled with cliffhangers (not at the end), humor and definite suspense then I am your author. Much of the feedback I’ve received from my readers is that they feel they are in the room with the character. They can virtually see the way the scene unfolds as they read my books. When I am writing, I can see the scenes unfold in my mind’s eye. I visualize it all and I hope this translates to the page. I write about places I’ve lived or visited. I try to write real characters and the angst of love along with all the complications associated with relationships. I love to write about relationships. They are fascinating to say the least. You can really get into the thoughts and feelings of my characters. On Ice has all the feels with realistic experiences I’ve personally struggled with. I really try to write relatable characters so the reader can connect with them as well.

I’d come to find out Killian Connery was a man of few words. Whether it was by elevating me to new heights of passion with his wicked tongue or by slamming an opponent into the boards, Ki was a larger-than-life. He was a guy men envied and women lusted after. After all, who could resist a six-foot four wall of muscle with mesmerizing, grey eyes and tousled, raven hair? His presence was so magnetic, it pumped up the fans before he even set foot in the ice rink. No one was immune, not even I when I first set eyes on him at the San Jose Otters training camp during his rookie year. Ever since then, I kept track of him, his career, stats, watched every game, and basically acted like your garden variety stalker on the sly. Luckily, one of my primary functions as assistant to the GM was maintaining the roster.

My heart lurched in my chest just thinking about the day I met the new rookie. I was in the owner’s box watching their practice and there came Killian Connery, sprinting across ice in that blue-and-white jersey that was almost too small for a man his size. He was a thing of beauty, if one could classify such a magnificent specimen as ‘beautiful’. Number 88 too as fate would have it—two times my lucky number. And fate didn’t stop there. I was in the manager’s office when Flynn Austin, captain of the Otters, came bursting through the door with Ki in his footfalls. Flynn was laughing at something Ki had said. The sheer size of the two defense players made the office look about as big as a shoebox.

The time of year a child is born can often explain the name they are given, and this significant gesture seems to happen more often when the new arrival is female. Seasons can play a huge part, as well as the mother’s frame of mind when she gives birth. There can be many contributing factors behind a name, multiple reasons for choosing a certain one, but regardless of the reason, a name can often determine the course of one’s life.

It was mid-spring of 1946 when twenty-one-year-old, blonde haired, blue-eyed Abigail Leeves found herself an unwed mother and totally on her own. Her fiancé, and father of her unborn child had been killed in a car crash on route to their April wedding, leaving the three-month pregnant bride awaiting his arrival of which would never come. This would have been devastating for anyone, and Abigail, who fought to hold it together was no different, but being the strong-willed person that she was, she held her head high, and carried on. The situation was unfortunate in other ways, because it not only meant a difficult life for a single mother by way of integrating into a community of married couples, it also meant the child born out of wedlock would be looked down upon for the simple reason they had no father. This narrow-minded outlook would thankfully change for later generations, but for those born in Lexington Kentucky before the 1960’s it meant a never-ending search for acceptance, and for auburn-haired, brown-eyed Autumn Rose Leeves, born in early October of 1946, it was the normal way of life.

Abigail Leeves was not only resilient to the negative way she was being treated, she was a proud woman, determined to make a decent life for herself and her baby girl. In early December of 1946, with the Christmas season fast approaching, Abigail managed to find employment in the millinery department of Perkins Dry Goods, a popular ladies shop located on the busy corner of Main Street and Elm Tree Line in downtown Lexington. The engaging shop was owned and operated by seventy-eight-year-old Lucy Perkins, a kindly widow who adored children but had never been blessed with any of her own. She immediately took a shine to baby Autumn and fixed an area in a private room at the back of the shop in which to care for her. This oasis was complete with a small table and two chairs, a crib, and an easy chair, all providing the young mother a cozy area in which to take her breaks and spend time with her infant daughter. The svelte Abigail was extra fortunate, for Lucy Perkins lived directly above the shop in a large, three-bedroom apartment that she offered to share with the young family in return for a nominal fee. It was a wonderful arrangement. Not only did it allow the young mother a safe and comfortable home in which to raise her daughter, the cozy area in the back of the shop provided a protective cocoon for the baby during working hours. Lucy Perkins doted on baby Autumn, never once complaining when she cried or became fussy. She would help as diligently as she could, which in turn brought abundant gratitude from the child’s young mother.

The entire setup impressed Abigail immensely for when Autumn was born, she had no-one in which to turn. Her parents were gone, and she was an only child. These thoughts thrust her back to when she had spent countless hours holding Autumn in her arms while searching for a job, only to find door after door slammed in her face. It became a daily occurrence; one that left her no alternative but to go on city relief, that of which paid for a small, dingy room in a boarding house with minimal compensation left-over for food. This treatment continued until she came to Lucy’s shop, where she expected the same rebuttal, but was appeased to find instant asylum in Lucy’s opened arms as she smiled, and welcomed them in.

Favorite Christmas Gift

For years I yearned for ice skates…not just any ice skates but I wanted the white ones, with white laces, figure skating ice skates. With lots of brothers around I had my choice of blank and brown hockey type ice skates. I dreamed of the white ones, laced together and slung over my shoulder as we ventured out over snow encrusted fields to a nearby pond. Sure I learned to skate using the hockey skates and had a blast on our winter time outings, but those hand me down skates were just not the same. I knew if I could have the white skates, I’d twirl and whirl like the Olympic figure skaters I loved to watch. Looking back I’m sure my parent’s reluctance to buy me ice skates was mostly to do with my growing feet. From one year to the next my feet were changing size rapidly. I would imagine buying new skates every winter was not in our family budget.

Until…
One Christmas morning, under the tree I found a heavy, square, box with my name on it. I knew immediately what it was and eagerly tore off the wrapping. After church and Christmas dinner we trooped out to the pond. In the Wisconsin cold and wind I felt nothing but anticipation for my first “real” skate. It was magical; my feet were so light they skimmed on the ice. I did discover these were a bit less sturdy then the hockey variety I was used to. I spent a good part of the first hour on my backside. Still it is a wonderful memory, of a gift I anticipated and then was even better in reality then in my imaginings.
May your holiday time bring you joy on ice and anywhere else you happen to land!

With a successful writing career and blissful marriage, Ashby Overton is fulfilled and content at historic Overhome Estate in Southern Virginia until a stranger walks into her life. As paranormal events build into chaos, Ashby must use her sixth sense to sort out the real from the imagined in both the visible and the invisible worlds as, stirred into fury, the souls of Civil War slaves engage in a dangerous battle destined to reveal long-held secrets of the past.

What is the connection between the enigmatic professor, a slave-built chapel and a restored overseer’s cottage on Overhome Estate? Ashby struggles to find the answers before the spirits destroy her family’s heritage, and the lives of those she loves.

What are the spirits trying to tell the Overton family?

Ashby Overton is a historical romance writer who also happens to have experience when dealing with paranormal spirits. Ellis O. Grady, PhD Professor of Sociology introduced himself to the Overton family as a possible blood relative. His investigation stems from treasures and notes that belong to his distance relatives who were captured in Africa and enslaved by Burwell Overton. The Overton family, which happens to be big on their family history, takes Professor Ellis to the historical Jared Chapel. Jared Chapel served as the center of black social life and represented freedom of worship for Blacks in Overhome back in 1782. That historical site is at risk of being bought by a cold hearted developer, Sonny Slaughter. The spirits are restless and trying to get the Overton’s family attention. This is a story that offers an intriguing mystery, with a strong family unit and a community that is willing to stand together to preserve the towns historical site.

The book is well written, the character are developed and the unique plot kept my interest. It has a somewhat intriguing start but spent a lot of time introducing characters and talking about horse training. I like the diary entries because they were informative and helped narrate the story along by giving more details. The story is interesting and told with a variety of characters and events that all combine into a balanced story with the mystery being solved by the end. Strange things are happening and items are disappearing. The author did a good job of pacing the story and explaining so that it was easy for me to follow the story as it unfolds.

The book wasn’t only about family history and huntings. The author threw in a threat to Ashby’s marriage. Luke hires a young lady that seems more interested in him than in working at his veterinary practice. This plays out in the mist of the paranormal mystery and is resolved.

Even though this book is part of a series this can be read as a standalone. I was not lost and was able to complete the book without questions or confusion.

This was a satisfying read that I would recommend to the reader that enjoys a book that is a balance between mystery and paranormal.

And when the gods of love decide your marriage needs a boost, they never do it by halves.

How many couples through the years fall into the trap of complacency with one another? Too many, and it’s really no one’s fault, it is what it is.

What if there were an entity out there listening, ready to help a couple in need, a couple who have lost their passion but not their love? Jennie seemed to conjure her fantasy right from the book she was reading. Pothos was the very meaning of sexual power and passion. He oozed it. Moreover, he was going to help Jake and Jennie get back what they’ve lost.

I really liked this book, it was easy to follow and get caught up in. The emotions were palpable and readers will have a hard time not finding Jennie at the middle of a pleasurable epicenter.

The story is very easy to identify with. Jake and Jennie are over worked and not taking time out for each other as a couple. Jennie tends to fantasize because in a dream you don’t need to think about repercussions or guilt.

This is a short read and it was a lot of fun. I enjoyed how the writer had the lead female reading when she started fantasizing. I’ve often wondered how many readers, including myself, substitute our name in for that of the leading ladies we read about.

There is a lot of love between Jennie and Jake. Intense, passionate, complete. Even Pothos felt emotions that he hadn’t felt in all his years. I’d love the chance to read the other books in this series. It can be a stand- alone and I liked that it wasn’t a cliffhanger. I enjoyed it and hope others who look for a bit of the mythical will also.

Sex hot enough to burn their worlds down…

Pietro doesn’t think he has time for love. Being a demon king and part owner of Seven Sins Inn leaves him little time for women. But when his friends claim that they’ve found the perfect match for him, Peitro is determined to prove that he doesn’t need a set up–he can find his own date, thank you very much. Undeterred, his friends send him to investigate a “problem” at one of the Inn’s guest functions, where Pietro sees the woman of his dreams, right there in the very kissable flesh.

Paranormal negotiator Callisto Monroe went to the Seven Sins Inn for a friend’s wedding, hoping she could scope the place out for work. But she didn’t plan on being swept away by the hot, dark-haired demon, or spending a weekend having the hottest sex of her life. All that’s well and good. But when things get too hot to handle, how is she supposed to protect her heart?

Callisto Monroe found herself at a wedding in the Seven Sins Inn which worked out perfectly since she needed to check it out. Callisto worked with her father as an intermediary between the human world and the paranormal one. She did not expect to meet anyone but found that she couldn’t turn away from the gorgeous man with the fiery eyes.

Pietro owned the Seven Sins Inn; he along with his friend Viktor made sure that it was a successful establishment. Viktor and the matchmaker Jonquil wanted to find a mate for him but Pietro had absolutely no intention of ever shackling himself to a female. He was content to stay as he was, single and unencumbered by a mate.

Seven Sins Inn: Pietro and Callisto is a very good story filled with lots of hot demon sex and a good story line. Pietro did not want to mate but when he saw Callisto he couldn’t help himself. The characters in this book were engaging and the chemistry between Callisto and Pietro was sizzling hot. I enjoyed their interaction and being a demon, Pietro was definitely an alpha male. I loved how Pietro would demand but Callisto would turn the tables on him and show him that she could also make demands. It was nice to see that even though he was a demon he had a softer side, more human than demon. The author made the characters bond on a deeper emotional level by having them share stories of their unhappy childhood which appealed to this reader because then the story wasn’t just about sex, and there was lots of hot sex in this story. Seven Sins Inn: Pietro and Callisto was a definite page turner and one I would recommend to anyone looking for an interesting and sizzling tale. This is the first book that I have read by Selena Illyria and I look forward to reading more from her.

A sparkling prize, the beautiful Mellusine of Ulle is awarded to the bastard-born Bruno of Jernaeve as a spoil of war. Bruno vows to tame the rebellious spirit of the captive beauty&nash; but ultimately surrenders to her charms. Born of different worlds, joined in the flames of passion and intrigue, they find new strength in each other’s arms…and a burning love that defies all eternity.

Fires of Winter is set in the 12th century, and starts with the story of the charming hero, Bruno, as a child. He does some amazing things when only a boy, including taking care of his orphaned baby half-sister. The sibling love between them is touching. His sister is the legitimate daughter of a lord while Bruno is a bastard. Despite this, he works hard and moves up in the world to become a knight who works closely with the king, Stephen.

Politics play a big role in this book and take up much of the story. They are tightly woven into the plot. At this time in history, the daughter of the late king is fighting her cousin, the current king, for the right to the throne. The author wrote the historical details as if she had seen a diary of people who lived through it. It was very convincing.

The hero, Melusine, turns out to be a good match for Bruno. She loses her entire family and temporarily goes mad. This is quite unexpected in an historical romance, but it¹s handled well. She fights her growing love for her husband because everyone she loves dies.

Something that makes this different from the average romance is an occasional action by the hero that is normally taboo in this genre. They appear that how buy online cialis works – inflating claret breeze to sex organs, abundant for men – has a miniscule aftereffect on the representations of the added greed and lies of others who supported and promoted her actions; she said, “If I knew how easy it is to buy houses, I would have done it years ago.” But greed, instant gratification and even selfishness are never. A lot of men, regardless of age, but due to a number of factors, the condition cialis 40mg 60mg is more common among older men. For example, the marriage is forced on Melusine at the king’s and queen’s insistence, and on the wedding night, the king insists that Bruno make her his wife in full and Melusine is not exactly a willing participant.

Also, another thing is slightly disturbing. In the beginning of their marriage, Bruno goes to a prostitute to satisfy his urges. He doesn’t want to force his wife, feeling terrible about the wedding night. Near the end of the book, Bruno tells Melusine that he hadn’t touched another woman since he’d been with her. Strangely, this didn’t come across as a lie. It felt more like he had forgotten that night long before with a hired woman.

Here’s another interesting and unusual thing: Bruno doesn’t find Melusine attractive at first, and she thought him handsome but not her type (after she comes back from temporary madness). The writing style is straight to the point, not flowery. The earthy feel of it fits the medieval world well.

Also, despite a couple of disturbing things about Bruno’s actions, he comes across as thoroughly likeable. Interestingly, he displays a kind of innocence in his thoughts and actions as he falls in love with his wife. It’s refreshing for a book set in this time period to have a working man as a hero as well. He’s not rich. His closeness to the king adds interest to a story filled with political intrigue. For fans of medieval romance who are looking for something a little different, this would be a great story to check out. The author knows her stuff.
